Summer Smalls

We are VERY excited to be holding our first Open Call for our Summer Smalls event in the gallery.
We'd love to showcase a variety of local talent and are keen to highlight the great art we have in our area! We want to fill our walls with small paintings, drawings, high quality original prints and other 2-D wall hung work and we have a few spaces for freestanding 3-D work as well.
The open call is free to apply and you may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration.
If shortlisted, we will invite you to bring the pieces in for review but please note there is no guarantee of final selection until we see how all the work might hang together.
There is a hanging fee of £10 per artwork selected for the exhibition.
Artists will be invited to a Preview Party from 6pm to 7pm on the opening day, Wednesday 30th July.
We have some guidelines to ensure that we can curate a fantastic selection of work, please check that your work will meet the criteria before applying.
Submission Criteria
Wall work to have a maximum overall size (including frame) of 40cm x 40cm
All work must be supplied ready to hang with suitable fixings and cord
Freestanding sculpture to have a maximum footprint dimension of 40cm x 40cm with a maximum height of 60cm
The selling price must fit the 'fine art' range with a minimum for smaller works of £70 and a maximum of £500 for larger works
All work submitted must be your own original work and we cannot accept digital-only artwork
All work must be available for sale and available for the duration of the exhibition
The commission payable on sales during the exhibition will be a reduced rate of 30% to reflect the hanging fee already paid

Key Dates
Closing date for email submissions: Monday 14th July
Shortlisted artworks to be brought to the gallery for final selection: Monday 28th July 9am to 11am
Collection of un-selected artworks: Wednesday 30th July 12noon to 4pm
Exhibition opens: Wednesday 30th July
Exhibition closes: Saturday 30th August
Collection of unsold work: Monday 1st September 10am to 1pm
